We are a part of Star Wars Podcast Day for our third year in a row! Today, we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the very first Star Wars podcast: Jedi Talk, which premiered in 1999.
Before discussing our main topic, we discuss some unexpected news in the Star Wars world regarding a very interesting lawsuit against Lucasfilm by the actress who formally portrayed Cara Dune. Nani gets to flex her Law School muscles as she ponders the merits of the case.
Sadly and unexpectedly, we lost our High Magistrate: Carl Weathers. While we wish we could have had a happier topic to discuss today, we've decided to make a celebration of life, and look at Carl's legacy as Greef Karga and beyond. A bright light extinguished too soon, we'll miss his life and legacy and try to live up to his values and mantra: BE PEACE.

In an era where Marvel's streaming offerings on Disney+ have been inconsistent (to say the least), Echo has arrived and it shows the promise of the future for Marvel television. With Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin and Charlie Cox's Daredevil officially back in the MCU (and the canonization of the Netflix series), Echo serves as a bridge between the fantastical side of the MCU, and the grounded, gritty part of the Netflix series.

Zack Snyder had originally pitched this movie to Lucasfilm as a Star Wars film, and after being turned down, decided to rework it as an original story. When we were watching Star Wars: Rebels for the first time, never did we expect that we would see Ahsoka Tano again (well Nani did I guess). At the time, the last time we had seen her was walking away from Anakin Skywalker and the Jedi Order, and we weren't sure of her fate or when and if we'd see her again. Today we look back at Season 1 of Rebels to relive our experiences seeing her again and how her story and appearance would shape Star Wars and make an impact on future stories like The Mandalorian and Andor. In addition, we talk a little bit about Star Wars publishing, particularly with the recent, and very excellent, Inquisitor: Rise of the Red Blade by Delilah Dawson. Summer of the Block(Flop?)buster | The Flash, Indy 5, Barbenheimer, and Rey's NEW JEDI ORDER
2023 has seen the return of the blockbuster summer! However, it seems that a lot of the movies that should be doing extremely well at the Box Office don't seem to be doing to hot. The Flash was a critical and financial failure, and while Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny has been well received, it is not doing so great. The Importance of LATINX Representation in STAR WARS • LIVE from SWC23
Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023 was truly an incredible experience. Besides being very lucky to present as a Podcast on the Holonet News Stage, I was very privileged to be invited to host another very important panel on the Fan Stage! As many listeners know, we here at Triad advocate strongly for representation in media and in Star Wars, and for this panel the topic was extremely important to us: The Importance of LatinX Representation in Star Wars! With three leads of some of the main Star Wars shows being Latinx, what does it mean for our representation currently and going forward? It was truly memorable experience and I was very lucky to be joined on the stage with some other amazing members of our community including Kari Guerrero (EstarGuarsTía), Danielle Schwertner, and Rafael Moyamayor. There insight was incredibly valuable and this conversation was very meaningful to me (and hopefully all those in attendance).

Ever since Star Wars: Visions Vol. 1 we had been thinking about the potential of this series tackling Star Wars from other cultural perspectives, especially ones from Latin America. With the announcement of Vol. 2, we were so excited to see this potential fulfilled! As we've mentioned before, Vol. 2 was a rousing success for us and in particular on of the episodes: In The Stars! This short, done by Punkrobot Studio (a studio from Chile), talked about all the themes we as a podcast have been advocating for and waiting to see in these Star Wars stories. Today we are so incredibly privileged to present our interview with Oscar winning director of Bear Story, Gabriel Osorio! We are still thinking about Star Wars: Visions Vol. 2! All of the episodes were phenomenal, but El Guiri Studios' SITH definitely stands out to us as one of the stories we enjoyed the most. Today we're so very excited to present to everybody a roundtable interview we were able to participate in, where we talk with Rodrigo Blaas, the director of SITH! We were so lucky to be able to be a part of this, massive thanks to Disney and Lucasfilm for the opportunity. Season 4! Can you believe we've made it this long? It's been an incredible journey since we started this little podcast all the way back in 2020 and we're so thankful for everything we've experienced and all the wonderful people we've met. Today we take a look back at 2022, our biggest year yet and make a couple of announcements, including our selection to the Holonet News Stage at Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023! We're so excited for this new year and hope you join us!
We're releasing this episode as part of the Star Wars Podcast Day 2023 celebration! This event commemorates the (24th) anniversary of Jedi Talk, the very first Star Wars related podcast which premiered back on February 7, 1999. It's incredible how far the podcasting community has grown since then!
